At Gaia, we understand that the perfect outfit begins with the perfect fit. Please share the following body measurements with us to ensure your outfit fits perfectly.
If your clothing size falls within the standard range from XS to L, you only need to provide general measurements: chest, waist, hips, and height. If your measurements are larger than XL or you have specific requirements, extra measurements will be needed.
General measurements
To ensure the perfect outfit, please provide Gaia with the following essential measurements:
- Chest
- Waist
- Hips
- Height
Detailed instructions on how to measure:
1. Chest:
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest.
- Ensure it passes under your armpits and across your shoulder blades.
- Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight.
NOTE: If your garment will be worn with a bra, please take your chest measurements while wearing a bra for the most accurate results.
2. Waist:
- Wrap the tape measure at your navel and circle it around your waist, ensuring it is snug but not too tight.
3. Hips:
- Locate the fullest part of your hips, typically around the widest point of your buttocks.
- Wrap the measuring tape around this area, ensuring it is parallel to the ground and snug but not too tight.
- Keep your feet together during the measurement.

- Locate the point at the top of your shoulder where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve seam.
- Using a flexible measuring tape, measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front of your shoulder, under your armpit, and back up to the starting point. Ensure the tape measure is snug but not tight, following the curve of your armhole.
5. Arm length

7. Torso:
- Stand straight with your feet together and shoulders relaxed.
- Place the measuring tape at the top of your shoulder, close to the base of your neck.
- Extend the tape measure down the front of your body, following the natural curve, until you reach the point where you want the bottom of the shirt to fall (usually at the waist or hip, depending on the garment).
8. Inseam:
- To measure your inseam, start from the crotch seam where the legs of the pants meet. Gently pull the measuring tape down along the inside of your leg to the bottom hem of the pants.

- Stand upright with legs slightly apart.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your thigh.
- Ensure the tape is snug but not too tight.
10. Neck to bust point:

- Place the beginning of the measuring tape at the base of your neck, where it meets the front of your shoulders.
- Extend the tape down to the desired upper edge of the chest.
11. Neck to waist:
- Stand straight with your body upright and relaxed.
- Place the beginning of the measuring tape at the base of your neck, where it meets the front of your shoulders.
- Extend the tape vertically down the front of your body, following the midline of your torso, until it reaches your natural waistline
- Ensure the tape is straight and not twisted, and that it's snug against your body but not too tight.
12. Underbust:
- Stand straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Position the measuring tape directly under your bust.
- Ensure the tape is snug against your skin, but not too tight or digging into your ribs.
- Keep the tape straight around your body, without pulling it too tightly or allowing it to sag.
13. Hem length
- Stand upright on a flat surface with your feet together.
- Place the end of the measuring tape at the top of your shoulder, where the dress strap will sit.
- Extend the tape measure down your body to the hem of the dress. This will provide you with the total length measurement of the dress.
- If possible, have someone help you to ensure the measuring tape remains straight and accurate.
These measurements will help us tailor your garment to fit you perfectly. Please ensure to follow the instructions meticulously for the most accurate results.
